Though Winston attends crosstown rival Vigor, he and Brackett are good friends and the two will check out Charlie Strong's program for a few days beginning June 6. Winston told InsideTheVille.com that Louisville and Mississippi State are the top two programs on his list, and Brackett has Strong's Cardinals on top of his list.
"Louisville is my top school at the moment," Brackett said. "They've kept on top of me. I've been keeping in frequent contact with them. I talk to Coach [Ron] Dugans, Coach [Vance] Bedford and Coach Strong. We're going to head up to the school on Sunday and see how it's like up there."
Brackett, who holds ten offers, recorded 32 tackles and 7 interceptions as a junior. Though his parents won't be on the trip to Louisville with him, Brackett said there's a chance he could commit to the Cardinals. Brackett also indicated that he and Winston, a 6-6, 230-lb. defensive lineman, want to attend the same college together.
"There's a possibility [I could commit]," Brackett said. "Me and Jamichael are going to try to go to the same school. Our high schools are rivals, but me and him are pretty close."
