"They were one of the first colleges to start looking at me and I've kept that in mind," Santos said of the Cardinals. "I know they really want me and that's a good thing to know. I haven't talked to the coaches in a while. But they've been sending me stuff in the mail and I've been doing research on them."
Santos is also thinking strongly about Colorado and Wake Forest, and hopes to visit the Buffalos during his bye-week in September.
"Wake Forest is a good academic school," Santos said. "I want to major in engineering, which Coach Kanavis (McGhee) told me they (Colorado) have one of the best engineering programs in the nation."
In his first game this season, the 5'10, 175-pound Santos made nine tackles in a win over Richmond (TX) Travis.
"All around I'm a better player than last year," Santos said. "I feel my reads and awareness are better and my footwork has improved greatly."
