Rick Pitino on the road recruiting

University of Louisville basketball coach Rick Pitino has been on the road this weekend recruiting. Pitino has been in North Augusta, S.C., and Louisville to evaluate prospects.

On Friday, Pitino spent all day at the Nike Peach Jam checking out several prospects.

Pitino watched Boo Williams AAU team standouts Troy Williams and Anthony Barber in two different games. The Cardinals are in high on the list of both prospects.

The only other prospect he watched twice in Augusta was Cal Supreme center Marcus Lee, who is one of the top U of L post player targets.

Pitino and assistant coach Kevin Keatts also checked out Moses Kingsley, Theo Pinson, Chris McCullough and Justin Jackson.

Pitino then flew back to Louisville and was at the Kentucky Fair & Exposition Center early Saturday morning watching Mishawaka, Ind., point guard Demetrius Jackson in the Bluegrass Hoops Classic.

The evaluation period ends on Sunday and Pitino is expected to stay in Louisville to track Jackson, until his MBA Select team loses.
