Decatur Central senior Marcellus Edwards is staying patient as schools are hoping to see more of him this year at a new position.
"A lot of my BCS schools want my film on me blocking before they [offer] since it's my first year playing tight end ever," the 6'3, 237-lb prospect said.
Edwards has already visited Indiana State and Western Kentucky, and has an official scheduled for this weekend to Southern Illinois. Then there are a number of schools he remains in contact with.
"The schools I've been hearing from the most lately are Eastern Washington, Southern Illinois, Arkansas and Indian State. I would like to visit Cincinnati, Louisville, and Indiana before their season is over and I want to make a trip down to Arkansas. Indiana St has talked a little about offering so far and Eastern Washington and Southern Illinois too."
The recent visit to Western Kentucky, Edwards says, was a good one.
"Western Kentucky was nice. I loved it! It was a great game. They dominated Southern Miss and the atmosphere was great. They have great fans."
Edwards says before he takes a visit to SIU, it is possible they will be at his game on Friday night.
