In an effort to make the site even more user-friendly, ScarletReport.com provides a week in review. So much happens here in a week's time, it's possible to miss some of the happenings and news. To make it easier, each Monday "The Week That Was" will be posted to give an update on what transpired. All stories from ScarletReport.com can be accessed through the message boards. On the Gridiron Rutgers rebounded from a rough two weeks with a convincing 28-7 victory over Army. Behind two blocked kicks and a fumble return for a touchdown by Duron Harmon, the Scarlet Knights improved to 8-1 on the season. Senior linebacker Khaseem Greene logged a career high 22 tackles in the victory, which is five short of Tyronne Stowe's school record. Running back Jawan Jamison threw his first career touchdown pass and now stands 47 yards away from 1,000 on the season. Jamison injured his right ankle in the game, but returned and told ScarletReport.com he feels fine. Rutgers climbed to No. 22 in the Associated Press poll, two spots behind Louisville, which lost in upset fashion at Syracuse Saturday afternoon. The Scarlet Knights now hold sole possession of first place in the Big East and control their own destiny to the Orange Bowl. Facing a one-loss Cincinnati team Saturday at Nippert Stadium, the Scarlet Knights are early 6.5-point underdogs. Kicker Kyle Federico is approaching 100 percent and is expected to compete with Nick Borgese this week for the starting job. In Recruiting Metuchen (N.J.) four-star guard Dorian Miller is set to announce between Rutgers, Connecticut and North Carolina on Nov. 20 at MSG Varsity studios on Long Island. ScarleReport.com will be in attendance. Rutgers is showing renewed interest in running backs Daryl Chestnut of Columbus (Miami, Fla.) and Janarian Grant of Pascoe (Dade City, Fla.). Both informed ScarletReport.com of increased contact with the staff and interest in official visits to campus. Hargrave Military Academy linebacker Lester Liston told ScarletReport.com he is in good shape academically to wrap up at prep school and enroll at Rutgers next semester. Visitors for the Army victory included Bergen Catholic (Oradell, N.J.) receiver commit John Tsimis, Piscataway (N.J.) cornerback commit Nadir Barnwell and 2014 Antoine White. Rutgers verbally offered Bergen Catholic 2014 defensive end Kurt Holuba a scholarship. On the Hardwood Rutgers basketball got off to an embarrassing start in 2012, losing 56-52 in shocking fashion to St. Peter's. The Peacocks were projected to finish last in the MAAC. Sophomore guard trio Elijah Carter, Myles Mack and Jerome Seagears struggled on the court, combining for a 5-for-23 clip and just 15 points. Transfer Wally Judge recorded a double-double before fouling out of his Rutgers debut. The Scarlet Knights (0-1) return to action tonight against Sacred Heart.
