Ohio State added the second commitment of the weekend when four-star defensive tackle Donovan Munger…
Munger Enjoys Bruin Win
Shaker Heights two-way lineman Donovan Munger is not only one of the top players in Ohio for the class of 2013, but the four-star prospect has hit the recruiting radar of several top schools. Munger, 6-foot-3, 290-pounds, holds over 20 offers to date. Last weekend, he took his first official visit to check out UCLA in their big win over USC. "First off, the game was crazy, especially because UCLA and USC are so close and the stands were filled," Munger stated. "The campus was beautiful and I liked it very much. One of the most impressive things was their academic system that they explained to me. They are on a quarter system, so they actually played three games before classes began." The Bruin coaching staff spent a lot of time with Munger, and they explained to him how he would fit into their program. UCLA is recruiting him as an offensive lineman, which Munger has stated previously is not a concern of his. "They are recruiting me as a guard," he reported. "They said I can come in and play early, because they will play freshman. I think they played 11 freshman in the game on Saturday. Overall, everything was great at UCLA." Although he has no other official visits set yet, Munger has listed Ohio State, Tennessee, Louisville and Nebraska as possible destinations. "I do not have a leader right now of the schools recruiting me," Munger added. "I'm just taking my time, and I want to make my decision before National Signing Day." FoxSportsNext will continue to follow Munger's recruitment, which will see him going to Ohio State this weekend on an unofficial visit.
