"Southern Miss was on me pretty hard when Coach Johnson was there," he updated us. "They were on me real heavy. When he left I didn't know if they were recruiting me still or not, so I talked with Coach Buckley and we talked for a while.
"He looked at my highlight tape and told me they are still very interested. I sent him the entire season highlight film and he loved it. Then, he called my coach, and he said they are going to see what they can do as far as offering."
He also is hearing from Louisville and Mississippi State. He is heading up to Louisville for a weekend visit this upcoming weekend.
"We had a coaching change last year at Terry and it really helped me a lot," he said. "The new offense really helped put my skills on display. They made me look good.
"I couldn't have had the season I had without my teammates, I'm very thankful to them."
Louisville is looking at Moore as a CB, and Mississippi State likes him as a running back because of his vision and quick feet. He said Southern Miss was looking at him as a CB as well.
He had nothing but great things to say about the program in Hattiesburg.
"I would be very interested with Southern Miss and the new coaching staff," he said. "I would like to be a part of something new, and to think about being a part of Coach Monken's first recruiting class is very exciting to me."
He does not have an offer yet, but is very hopeful as things are really heating up for him.
After the trip to Louisville, he said he'd talk to both Southern Miss and Mississippi State to find out when he can visit both campuses.
