Cards will host Florida WR this weekend

Alex Montgomery

With just two weekends left before national signing day, the University of Louisville football staff is bringing in another prospect this weekend. Florida wide receiver Alex Montgomery will be on campus with the Cardinals' coaching staff. Also an update on Trinity defensive end Jason Hatcher.

The University of Louisville will play host to a wide receiver from Florida this weekend.

Alex Montgomery is a standout from Weston, Fla., Cypress Bay High School. The 6-foot-1, 195-pound Montgomery is a three-star prospect who helped Cypress Bay make a state championship game appearance.

Montgomery is expected to make a decision after his visit this weekend and is picking U of L, Kentucky and Central Florida.

JASON HATCHER UPDATE

Two days after Trinity High School defensive end Jason Hatcher tweeted he was de-committing from USC, the four-star prospect set up an official visit this weekend to U of L.

Hatcher, the No. 10 defensive end in the class according to Scout.com, was expected to make his final visit with the Cardinals after calling off a visit to Florida for the weekend.

But within an hour after news broke of the visit, Hatcher told several media members that he wasn't making any visits this weekend.

The 6-foot-3, 230-pound Hatcher had been committed to USC since the summer but was taking other visits. He visited Kentucky earlier this month and made his official visit to USC last weekend.

But two days after returning from the trip, Hatcher tweeted he was de-committing. On Thursday, USC defensive line coach Ed Orgeron was at Trinity and was expected to make an in-home visit with Hatcher in the evening.

The U of L coaches have remained in contact with Hatcher since he originally made his commitment. He visited for two games during the season.

He's now expected to make a decision on his future on signing day, picking either USC, Kentucky or Louisville.
