PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Bouncing around often as a highs school student, Rutgers freshman Dontea Ayres is ecstatic to have the stability of his new spot in the program.

One of five freshmen to enroll early, Ayres feels ready to compete for instant playing time at his position. With Jawan Jamison headed to the NFL and Savon Huggins as the only back with true experience, Ayres discussed his goals of competing instantly in the backfield.
