Northwest Florida State College guard Chris Jones played his last regular-season junior college game in front of his future coach – Rick Pitino – on Tuesday night. Jones rallied his team to a 25th victory of the season.

Future University of Louisville point guard Chris Jones put on another show Tuesday night, rallying his Northwest Florida State College team to a victory from 19 points down in front of U of L coach Rick Pitino.

Jones hit a three-pointer in the closing minutes of the game, scored 17 points and helped NW Florida rally from down 33-14 for a 56-55 at Tallahassee.

It was the final regular-season game for NW Florida. Jones helped lead the team to a 25-2 record, including 11-1 in the Panhandle, and a No. 4 ranking nationally.

"He's just such a winner," NW Florida coach Steve Forbes said. "He kept telling the guys that we were going to win the game."

In two years at NW Florida, Jones helped the team to a 26-0 record at home and an overall 57-4 record. NW Florida will play next in the regional tournament that begins on March 7.

Jones is third nationally in scoring at 23 points a game.

In a game on Saturday, Jones finished with 32 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists in an 85-82 win over Pensacola State College.
