Two U of L signees in Derby Classic game

Two of the four University of Louisville basketball signees have been selected to participate in the 40th annual Kentucky Derby Festival Basketball Classic. Anton Gill and Akoy Agau will play in the game on April 19 at Freedom Hall.

University of Louisville basketball fans will get an early peek at two of the members of the Class of 2013 recruiting class.

Anton Gill and Akoy Agau have both been selected to participate in the 40th annual Derby Festival Basketball Classic presented by PapaJohn's.com and Fifth Third Bank on April 19 at Freedom Hall.

The two future U of L players will be on the White team in the game and will be coached by Hargrave Military Academy coach A. W. Hamilton.

Gill is a 6-foot-4 guard from Raleigh, N.C., who is playing his final season at Hargrave. He's helped Hargarve to a 36-7 record and is averaging over 20 points a game with two regular-season games left to play.

The 6-foot-9 Agau plays center at Omaha, Neb., Central and has helped the team to a 23-4 record. Omaha Central will play next week in the Class A state tournament and will be trying for a fourth straight state title.

The game also features three McDonald's All-Americans, four Indiana University signees and Kentucky signee Derek Willis of Bullitt East.

The participants will also compete in the Horseshoe Foundation Night of the Future Stars on April 18 at Floyd Central.
