U of L signee Akoy Agau to play for title
One future University of Louisville basketball player – Shaqquan Aaron – has already won a state championship and now another has a chance. Omaha, Neb., Central High School senior Akoy Agau will be playing for the Class A state title in Nebraska on Saturday in Lincoln. The 6-foot-9 Agau, who will be a freshman in the fall at U of L, had 17 points and seven rebounds on Friday morning in an 80-50 win over Benson in the semifinals. Omaha Central will play for the title on Saturday at 1 p.m. Agau averages 12.7 points and six rebounds a game and can become the first player in Nebraska history to start in four straight Class A state title games. Central has won three titles in a row. In Thursday's semifinal, Agau had 17 points and nine rebounds. Aaron helped Seattle Rainier Beach to the Class 3-A state title last weekend.
