The University of Louisville overcame a 16-point second half deficit to defeat Syracuse 78-61 for the 2013 Big East Tournament Championship.

Behind a career-high performance from freshman Montrezl Harrell and a gutty performance from senior Peyton Siva, the University of Louisville overcame a hot-shooting Syracuse squad and claimed the 2013 Big East Conference Tournament on Saturday night.

The Cardinals, which trailed by 13 at the half, defeated Syracuse 78-61 in front of a sold out crowd at Madison Square Garden.

Louisville was led by Harrell's 20 points, while Siva finished with 11 points and 8 assists.

The Cardinals, who have won 10 straight, claim their third Big East Conference Tournament title in five years.
