The University of Louisville football team will begin spring practice on Wednesday. Here’s an update on the schedule and open practices for the spring. The Cardinals will be ranked among the top 10 teams in the country next season.

It’s time for spring football.

The University of Louisville will open practice on Wednesday inside the Trager indoor facility at 4 p.m. The Cards will hold 14 practices until the Spring Game.

The first practice was scheduled to be open to the public but with inclement weather forecasted the practice is being moved indoors and won’t be open.

U of L coach Charlie Strong will open Friday’s 4 p.m. practice and Saturday’s 9:30 a.m. workout to the public.

The Wendy’s Wonderful Kids Spring Game is slated for 1 p.m. on April 13 in Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium.

The Cards will also conduct Pro Day workouts on Tuesday afternoon with 10 former players participating. Among those will be Mario Benavides, Alex Kupper, Adrian Bushell, Daniel Brown, Andrell Smith, Jeremy Wright, Bo Eggers, Josh Chichester, William Savoy and Conrad Thomas.
