Cards make the cut for Myles Turner

Myles Turner, the fastest rising big man in the Class of 2014 this spring and summer, has narrowed his list of colleges to eight. The Louisville Cardinals have made the cut for the 7-footer.

Myles Turner started the summer with more than 60 scholarship offers he racked up after a sensational spring with Texas Select.

The 7-foot center from Texas narrowed the list to 25 and now has cut it to eight.

And the Louisville Cardinals are still on the list, joining Arizona, Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, Ohio State, Oklahoma State and Texas.

"Overall, my parents told me to do my research, the academics, the system and the school," Turner said recently. "They want me to make sure I am doing my homework and I have been."

Turner is ranked as the No. 5 player in the Class of 2014 overall and the second-best center, according to Scout.com.
