The ninth-ranked Cardinals hit the practice fields at 8:45 this morning for the the first of two sessions today. Following the nearly two-hour session, defensive coordinator Vance Bedford, along with first team cornerbacks Terrell Floyd and Jermaine Reve, visited with the media.
Bedford was pleased with how his first team defense performed in the first full scrimmage of camp yesterday.
"There was some good plays and we did some good things on defense," he said. "We can always make strides. We gave up one big pass play - we missed a tackle that went for a big play. The first team defense did a really good job."
During yesterday's practice, word surfaced that Floyd sustained an injury and had an MRI for further evaluation.
The junior was back out on Thursday morning and told Cardinal Authority that he "feels good."
"It's football and we get banged up everyday," he said, adding, "I'm out here practicing every day, so I'm not complaining."
