Following the team's first loss of the season, the Louisville Cardinals rebounded well with a dominating 34-3 win at South Florida on Saturday afternoon.

It didn't take the Louisville Cardinals long to get back on track following thier first loss of a game. Scoring on the opening drive, the Cardinals received scoring from all phases of the game in a dominating 34-3 win over South Florida.

Junior quarterback Teddy Bridgewater was nearly perfect, throwing for 344 yards and 3 touchdowns on 25 of 29 passing. Fellow junior, running back Dominique Brown accounted for a career best 186 yards of offense - 125 on the ground and 61 and a score through the air.

South Florida's lone score, a first quarter 50-yard field goal from Marvin Kloss, was significantly aided by back-to-back 15-yard penalties against the Cardinals. It's the third consecutive game that the Bulls have failed to score an offensive touchdown.

The Cardinals scored on a 20-yard touchdown pass from Bridgewater to Copeland to cap a game-opening 90 yard drive to grab the early.

A 69-yard strike to tight end Gerald Christian in the middle of the second quarter was sandwiched by a pair of short John Wallace field goals to give Louisville a 20-3 lead entering the fourth quarter.

A 14-play drive early in the fourth quarter was capped off by a 5-yard Bridgewater touchdown pass to Brown.

Cornerback Charles Gaines added to the score when he took an interception 70 yards for a touchdown, giving Louisville a 34-3 lead.

Louisville amassed 475 total yards of offense, while the defense kept USF in check throughout, surrendering just 132 yards. The Bulls managed just 1.9 yards per carry average. The Cardinals dominated the time of possession, maintaining the ball for 42:50 to just 16:12 for the Bulls.
