Louisville entered the contest against Missouri-Kansas City as a heavy favorite and the Cardinals didn't take long to force their will. The Cardinals had 14 steals and forced 20 turnovers in route to a 90-62 victory.

All-American guard Russ Smith handed out a career-best 11 assists and Chane Behanan recorded his first double-double of the season, 12th of his career, with 11 points and 11 rebounds.

Louisville also received 14 points from Montrezl Harrell, with Smith and Luke Hancock contributing 10 each.
