Two U of L football commits win state title
Isaiah Ford had 121 yards rushing and two touchdowns to help lead Jacksonville, Fla., Trinity Christian Academy to a 34-7 win over Clearwater Central Catholic in the Florida Class 3-A state title on Saturday in Orlando. Ford, who has committed to the University of Louisville, carried for TD runs of 58 and 6 yards in the game. He's one of the top wide receivers in the Sunshine State but did his damage with 108 yards rushing in the title game. There has been some speculation about the status of Ford, but he told Cardinal Authority on Saturday night that he was "solid" on his commitment to U of L. "Yes I am," Ford said when asked if he was still committed to the Cardinals. Trinity Christian offensive lineman Kavaris Harkless is also committed to U of L. Trinity Christian finished the season at 12-1.
