After a few days in limbo, the University of Louisville football commitments and targets found out like most - via social media and news reports - late Saturday night that Charlie Strong was leaving U of L to become the Texas coach.
Cardinal Authority started to contact the recruits, who have had mixed reaction.

Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Cardinal Gibbons wide receiver George Rushing tells Cardinal Authority he's "disappointed & upset." The three-star prospect added that he's "still committed, but has a lot to think about."
Jacksonville (Fla.) Sandalwood wide receiver Desean Blair remains on the commitment board for the Cardinals. The three-star prospect remains "strongly committed" to Louisville. Says Louisville "is a great place with great people and a great community."

Louisville Trinity quarterback Reggie Bonnafon was the first member of the 2014 recruiting class and remains committed.

Harding, Ohio, running back L.J. Scott tweeted that he's still committed to U of L. He's scheduled to enroll on Monday.
The first two casualties of Strong's decision come on Sunday afternoon as three-star wide receiver Isaiah Ford and 3-star offensive lineman Kavariss Harkless have pulled their commitments.
Three-star linebacker Micky Crum has been active on Twitter expressing his intention to remain firm with his Louisville commitment. Crum has stated on the social network that, "Louisville is where its at," followed moments later with "I love everything about the Ville."
Junior college All-American defensive end Trevon Young confirmed with Cardinal Authority on Sunday afternoon that he has chosen to stick with the Cardinals program.

Three-star linebacker Henry Famurewa informs that he remains pledged to the Cardinals and looks forward to making his official visit in the coming weeks.

Hilton Head, S.C., defensive tackle Poona Ford tells Cardinal Authority that "as of right now" he's still committed to the Cardinals. The four-star prospect has had other programs reach out since the reports of Strong leaving surfaced. He is currently in California preparing to play in the Semper Fi All-American Bowl.

Matthews (N.C.) Butler linebacker Isaac Stewart's coach has indicated that Stewart remains committed and is still set to enroll in about two weeks.
Fort Pierce, Fla., defensive end Rashawn Shaw said he's still committed to Louisville but could make some other visits before signing day.
