University of Louisville basketball coach Rick Pitino said junior Wayne Blackshear played one of his better games on Saturday.

Blackshear moved into the starting lineup at the four spot, giving the Cardinals a smaller but more potent offensive attack.

"The bad news is he won't play tomorrow," Pitino said, announcing Blackshear suffered a concussion on Monday in practice and won't make the trip to Houston on Wednesday at 9 p.m.

Blackshear averages 9.7 points and 3.4 rebounds a game and Pitino said he's "day-to-day" but expected to be back for U of L's next game - Feb. 13 at Temple.
