Top women's '15 prospect visits U of L

University of Louisville women's basketball coach Jeff Walz hosted one of the nations top Class of 2015 prospects on Sunday at the KFC Yum! Center during the Pink Out game. Cardinal Authority has the latest on the big visitor.

With already two top commitments in the Class of 2015, University of Louisville women's basketball coach Jeff Walz had yet another top '15 target on an unofficial visit on Sunday.

Orlando, Fla., Lake Highland Prep guard Destinee Walker watched the Cardinals beat Rutgers before over 14,000 fans at the KFC Yum! Center on Sunday afternoon.

The 5-foot-10 Walker is ranked No. 26 by ProspectsNation.com, No. 40 in the Class by FullCourt.com and tabbed as the No. 60 prospect by ESPN.com. She averaged 25 points and 3.5 assists a game this season and made the Class 4-A All-State team in Florida.

In an evaluation, ESPN.com called Walker a "wiry, athletic off-guard with a scorer's mentality."

Walker was named District 11 Player of the Year.

U of L already has commitments in the '15 class from Richmond, Va., standout Taja Cole and Douglasville, Ga., prospect Maya Benham.
