Rosenbaum leads Cards to sixth in a row

Sophomore first baseman Danny Rosenbaum blasted a two-run home run and finished with three RBIs as the Louisville baseball team won a sixth straight game, sweeping Connecticut with an 8-3 decision on Sunday. The Cardinals are now 33-11.

Danny Rosenbaum had a big week.

The sophomore first baseman went 7-for-9 with 4 RBIs in four games this week, leading the Louisville baseball team with a monster game on Sunday in an 8-3 win over Connecticut.

Rosenbaum had an RBI double and also blasted a two-run home run as the Cardinals swept UConn and won for a sixth straight time.

U of L had 11 hits in the game, including three from Alex Chittenden and two apiece from Sutton Whiting and Jeff Gardner.

Anthony Kidston picked up the win for U of L and is now 5-0 on the season. Kidston pitched five innings and allowed two runs and two hits.

U of L (33-11, 11-4) will host Ohio State on Wednesday at 6 o'clock. The Cardinals will play at South Florida next weekend.

The Cardinals are currently No. 22 in the RPI and are No. 10 among schools nationally in winning percentage.
