Cards the first to offer '16 QB

The University of Louisville football staff became the first school to extend an offer to 2016 quarterback Keondre Wudtee of Bossier City, La. Cardinal Authority has the latest on Wudtee.

As a sophomore at Bossier City, La., Parkway High School, Keondre Wudtee was the backup quarterback to LSU signee Brandon Harris.

But the 6-foot-4, 195-pound Wudtee is taking over the position at Parkway this season and is already impressing college scouts.

Wudtee is a pro-style quarterback who can do it with his arm and with his legs.

And the University of Louisville staff has taken enough notice to extend Wudtee a scholarship offer this week.

It was the first offer for Wudtee, who has already also heard from LSU, Texas Tech and several others.

Wudtee hasn't played a ton of high school varsity ball but he's going to be a big-time prospect and the Cardinals have jumped into the mix before anyone else.

Cardinal Authority will keep you posted on the recruitment of Wudtee.
