Duncan, S.C., Byrnes High School tight end Tavin Richardson recently had cut his list of schools to 10 but wanted to get it even shorter before his senior season.

On Thursday Richardson eliminated five more schools from his list.

And the University of Louisville made the cut. The Cardinals joined Central Florida, Nebraska, Virginia Tech and Kentucky on his list.

The 6-foot-3, 210-pound Richardson is a three-star prospect and ranks as the No. 36 tight end in the Class of 2015 by Scout.com.

Richardson also had offers from Miami and Arkansas among a bunch of others.

As a sophomore, Richardson had 600 yards receiving and 10 touchdowns. Last season, as a junior, he had 53 catches for 836 yards and eight TDs.

Cardinal Authority will keep you posted on the latest with Richardson.
