Ali 'looking forward' to Louisville visit

Prince Ali

Weston, Fla., Sagemont Upper School four-star guard Prince Ali confirmed he's still planning on making an official visit to the University of Louisville on Sept. 6. Ali spoke with Cardinal Authority about his interest in U of L.

Weston, Fla., Sagemont Upper School four-star guard Prince Ali wasn't surprised when Donovan Mitchell committed to the University of Louisville last week.

The 6-foot-3 Ali said the U of L staff had been "up front" with him and told him they were going to "take some combination of two guards," to finish out the Class of 2015.

"They are taking two guards," Ali said. "So, I knew they were going to do that."

Mitchell was the first of the bunch to give the Cardinals a verbal commitment. They are still recruiting Ali, Perry Dozier - who will visit Aug. 31 - and Antonio Blakeney - who hasn't officially set up a visit.

Ali said Mitchell even reached out to him after he committed to the Cardinals on Thursday night to "tell me about the school."

"I know Donovan and he's a great player," Ali said. "He sent me a text and told me about the school, so I'm excited to go on my visit.

"I am most definitely (looking forward) to getting there and seeing things. I hope the visit goes well when I am there.

Ali said he's also scheduled a visit to UCLA on Aug. 31. The other two visits have not been set up, but he plans on taking five.

Ali is ranked No. 47 in the Class of 2015, according to Scout.com.
