News & Notes: Updated Depth Chart

This installment of ITV's News & Notes focuses on the recent updated depth chart.

While there aren't any major suprises on the recently updated depth chart, there are a few items of note.

CB William Gay (ITV)

While Louisville fans are becoming used to having the entire incoming freshman class redshirted their intial season, things have changed in 2003, as seven true freshman are listed on the latest depth chart. Offensively tight end Wayne Riles, quarterback Michael Bush and running back Kolby Smith all find themselves in a position to see game action in the season opener. Defensively linebacker walkon Deriontae Taylor, cornerback William Gay and 16 year old defensive tackle Amobi Okoye are all on the 2-deep chart. True freshman Brent Moody is also listed on the current depth chart.

At fullback D.J. Kamer and Adam McCauley are listed on the depth chart, leading us to believe that the Louisville coaching staff may be researching the possibility of redshirting junior college transfer Brian Hall.
