Inside theVille has once again hit the phones and found a number of players that will be making unofficial visits to Louisville this weekend for the Memphis game.

We imagine that this is only a partial list of players that are making the trip to U of L this Saturday, so we anticipate making updates throughout the day and all weekend long.

Nick Borgelt DL
Holy Cross HS (Louisville)
6'5, 270
Borgelt, who plays for one of the top Class A programs in the state, told ITV that he received a letter from Louisville just this week and that he is impressed with Cardinal assistant Joe Whitt, Jr.  "From reading them it sounds like they might offer," said Borgelt.  He visited Eastern Kentucky last weekend and will make an unofficial to Kentucky for the Tennessee game.  Kentucky has extended an invitation to become a preferred walk-on next season.

Brian Brohm QB

6'4, 205
With the official visits season heating up, Brohm will be making one of his last unofficial visits of the season.  He has made numerous visits to U of L, including during spring practice.  Brohm tells ITV that he knows just about everything he could learn about the Louisville football program, but should be in attendance on Saturday.

Dustin Current, RB/DB

Current plays defensive back, running back and returns both punts and kicks for Scott County.  He informed ITV on Thursday that he has received about 30 letters from U of L and that he attended Junior Day in the spring.  Current, who is originally from Texas, says that he became a Cardinal fan shortly after moving to the Bluegrass State.  "First it was just the colors and because my school is also the Cardinals, but I really like the way they play," explained Current.

Alfonso Johnson, OL
Jefferson Davis High (Montgomery, AL)

Johnson, who plays center for Jeff Davis, has good size and athleticism on the offensive line. Coach Bailey at JDHS informed ITV Friday morning that both Johnson and Leonte Van Buren will make an unofficial visit to Lousiville this weekend for the Memphis game. According to bailey, Louisville is showing the most interest in Johnson. He has no offers at this point.

Ryan Maxwell, OL
Southside HS (Memphis, TN)
6'3, 325
Maxwell has the size that would be hard to ignore when searching for an offensive lineman.  This will be Maxwell's first visit to the Louisville football program and despite the fact that he grew up a fan of the Memphis basketball team, he lists Louisville among his leaders.  "I've also dreamed of playing college football," said Maxwell.  "With them going to the Big East that definitely increased my interest because of the competition that they will see."  Besides the Cardinals, Maxwell is receiving interest from Memphis, Tennessee Tech and Arkansas State.

Michael Melanpy, OL
Butler Senior HS (Vandalia, OH)
6'4, 330
Like Maxwell, Melanpy also has impressive size for an offensive lineman.  He was recently named 1st Team All-League and 1st Team Southwest District Division II.  He is receiving a number of letters from programs throughout the region, but told ITV recently that his current favorites are Louisville and Minnesota.

Maurice Mitchell, LB/TE

Rodeno comes from his father Dale Rodeno called, "true football country," in northern Ohio, near Cleveland.  Despite missing the first 5 games of the season due to an ankle injury, Pete Rodeno has seen his value increase following an impressive finish.  A number of programs in the MAC, as well as Louisville and Nebraska are expressing the most interest.  During his three years along the offensive line Rodeno has allowed just one sack in a pass oriented offense.

Emmanuel Spann WR

Michael Young, WR/DB

Leonte Van Buren,
Jefferson Davis High (Montgomery, AL)

Van Buren, a speedster who could play WR or DB at the next level, will make an unofficial visit to Louisville this weekend with Alfonso Johnson. Coach Bailey at JDHS informed ITV Friday morning that both Johnson and Leonte Van Buren will make an unofficial visit to Lousiville this weekend for the Memphis game. According to Bailey, Alabama, Auburn and Louisville are showing the most interest in Van Buren. He has no offers at this point.

Josh Waller,

Waller has already made three unofficial visits to Lousiville during the season. Southern High head coach Bart Bruner says Waller could make another visit this weekend.
