Senior tight end Ronnie Ghent of the University of Louisville football team has been selected to participate in the Senior Bowl on January 24
at 5:00 p.m. at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Ala. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN.
Ghent, the only four-time All-Conference USA performer in the history of the league,will play on the South team and is one of two tight ends
on the roster. Ben Watson of Georgia is the other tight end.
Ghent, a native of Lakeland, Fla., caught 34 passes for 421 yards and four scores this season, and caught a pass in 38 straight games. For his
career, Ghent has 120 receptions for 1,349 yards and 15 touchdowns. He ranks 10th all-time in school history in receptions.
The Senior Bowl, Presented by Food World, is the nation's most unique football game and football's premier pre-draft event, annually featuring
the country's best senior collegiate football players and top NFL draft prospects on teams representing the North and the South which are
coached by the entire coaching staffs from two National Football League teams.
Senior Bowl practices are also attended by over 700 general managers, head coaches, assistant coaches, scouts and other front office
personnel from the 32 National Football League teams, making Mobile and the Senior Bowl the week-long host to a one-of-a-kind NFL Coaches
Convention. The Senior Bowl, Presented By Food World, is also a non-profit, charitable event which has donated over $2.5 million to
charity since 1989.
