Memphis Melrose DB commits to Cardinals

Chris Hampton of Memphis Melrose High School becomes the latest to commit to Bobby Petrino and the Cardinal football program.

The Memphis Commercial Appeal reported on Friday morning that standout defensive back Chris Hampton from Melrose High School committed to the Louisville head football coach Bobby Petrino during an in-home visit on Wednesday.

The 6'0, 170-pound Hampton picked the Cardinals over an offer from Memphis and Arkansas, as well as interest from Ole Miss.
