Following Friday nights action at the Chris Redman Twilight 7-on-7 tournament, two head coaches mentioned to me a player to watch on Saturday that played for Madisonville High School.
They described him as a beast. An athlete that has deceptive speed and performs at a high level every time on the field.
The player they spoke of was Blake Boyd, who at 6-foot-4, 220-pounds, plays along the Madisonville defensive line, as well as their starting quarterback.
One Madisonville coach echoed the words by those opposing coaches when asked about his star player. "He's a true athlete and he can play a number of positions on both sides of the ball."
Boyd currently holds scholarship offers from Eastern Kentucky, Kentucky and Marshall. He'll make a visit to Louisville on Sunday for the program's Senior Day camp.
In this video, Boyd discusses a potential offer from U of L, making a college choice and more...
