Scott Long makes decision

Scott Long of South Brunswick (NC) High School first told Inside The Ville that he was likely going to commit to U of L during his visit. On Sunday afternoon, the receiver confirmed that he did just that.

Add yet another tall receiver to the already dangerous Cardinal receiving unit as 6-foot-3, 195-pound Scott Long of South Brunswick (NC) High School committed to Louisville Sunday morning.

"I committed to Louisville this morning," Long said moments ago. "My visit with Coach Petrino went great. My entire visit went real good. They treated me great and I could tell that it was the place for me."

A couple factors played into Scott's decision to choose Bobby Petrino's program.

"I like the fact that I will be playing for a team that will play for a national championship before I graduate," Long said.

Long also admits that Louisville's decision to keep him as a high recruiting target following an ACL injury played a significant role.

"I actually know that a lot of schools that were recruiting me before my injury backed off," explained Scott. "A few schools, obviously Louisville, and Wake Forest and Florida State stayed with me, but Louisville was the most consistant."

Long was hosted by Harry Douglas and Michael Bush during his visit and he's looking forward to suiting up with them in the near future.

"We're going to have a lot of dangerous receivers," Long said. "I think we'll have the best quarterback in the country next year, too."
