Thursday's voluntary workout inside Papa John's Cardinal Stadium had the largest turnout yet this summer, as a number of incoming freshmen are on campus. While the NCAA forbids the reporting of incoming freshmen before they begin classes, I can say that the number of out of state players present is impressive.
The heat on the steamy turf inside the stadium didn't slow down the action as players worked out in units and then finished with a few passing drills. Quarterback Brian Brohm is bigger, stronger and yes - dare I say it - faster. Tinch has become a visible leader and is ready to take on the demanding role. This receiving corp is simply amazing.
Team t-shirts, which initially were black with a bullseye on the back, have been changed per the request of head coach Bobby Petrino to a gray shirt, with a shark on the back and the word 'Attack' on the front. Purpose? Coach Petrino apparently doesn't want a team that is looking over it's shoulder for potential defeats, but instead looking forward and attacking each and every opponent with the same intensity. Sounds good to me.
