The BIG EAST Conference announced on Monday and U of L Sports Information Director Kenny Klien confirmed during Coach Bobby Petrino's afternoon press conference that the highly-anticipated matchup between Louisville and West Virginia on October 15 will be broadcast regionally on ABC.
West Virginia (4-1) and Louisville (3-1) haven't played since 1993, when the No. 24 host Mountaineers edged Louisville 36-34.
Louisville's lone win in the six meetings against WVU came in 1990 when a last-second field goal attempt by the Mountaineers bounced off the upright, giving the visiting Cardinals a 9-7 victory.
Kickoff is now set for 3:30 p.m.
