Junior Day Saturday

Dozens of high school prospects will get an upclose look at the Cardinal football program at U of L's annual Junior Day on Saturday morning...

On Saturday morning, the University of Louisville football program will welcome dozens of high school prospects to the Howard L. Schnellenberger Football Complex for it's annual Junior Day.

"I think it's something that we try to showcase," explained Cardinal head coach Bobby Petrino. "It's the first time for a lot of them to get a look at our campus. They'll get to talk to our coaching staff and see all of our facilities."

With what will likely be more than 100 rising juniors visiting on Saturday, Petrino and his staff made the decision to spend an hour practicing prior to holding the team's second scrimmage of spring.

"That's why we are practicing and not just scrimmaging," he continued. "I want them to see how we practice and see the drills that we go through."
