Alcoa (Tenn.) High School receiver Kyrus Lanxter currently holds scholarship offers from Louisville, Minnesota, Mississippi, Vanderbilt and West Virginia.
"I think Tennessee and Kentucky are about to offer," said Lanxter on Tuesday, adding that three schools hold the early lead for his eventual services. "Probably Louisville, West Virginia and Ole Miss right now."
The 6-foot-2, 185-pound Lanxter, who received his first scholarship offer from Louisville and attended the Cardinals junior day earlier this month, currently plans to attend two camps in early June.
"I'm probably going to camps at Ole Miss and Louisville," he said. "I think the one at Ole Miss is on the third (of June) and Louisville's is on the fourth."
As a junior, Lanxter totaled 18 catches for 513 yards and 6 touchdowns for the state 2A Champions.
Spring practice for Alcoa High School is about to begin and while he's looking forward to his return to the field, he's also focusing on reaching the state finals in track.
"I really want to go to state for the 4x100 and our relay team is really good," he explained.
Lanxter will attend the Scout.com All-American combine at Louisville on May 20.
