InsideTheVille.com provides a closer look at those expected to receive the majority of the snaps in Saturday's matchup between No.7 Louisville and Big East rival Cincinnati. The game will be broadcast nationally on ESPNU.

Projected Starters News & Notes
  • While true freshman defensive end Deantwan Whitehead was listed as the starter when the initial depth chart was released on Monday, it is possible that Earl Heyman will replace him at end against Cincinnati, while defensive tackle William Williams joins the starting unit.
  • Quarterback Brian Brohm continues to make progress, with U of L head coach Bobby Petrino describing the junior's thumb injury at about 80%. His availability for Saturday's game has yet to be determined.
  • Senior right guard Kurt Quarterman will be making his 29th consecutive start.
  • Junior receiver Harry Douglas leads the team with 24 receptions. Douglas totaled 5 catches for 87 yards and a touchdown in U of L's 46-22 victory over UC last season.
  • Quarterback Hunter Cantwell has a career outing last Friday against Middle Tennessee when he threw for 340 yards and 3 touchdowns.
  • Cornerback Rod Council will return to action this weekend.
  • Senior defensive end Zach Anderson enters the game second on the team in tackles with 17. Anderson, who has registered two sacks, also has a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.
  • Safety Brandon Sharp is also second on the team with 17 tackles. The senior is a frequent visitor in opponents offensive backfields and has recorded 3 tackles for a loss and a sack.
  • Art Carmody has converted 22 of his last 23 field goal attempts and booted a career-best 51-yarder against Temple.
