3-star corner planning Louisville visit

Scout.com three-star cornerback prospect Rudell Crim has one official visit set and plans to schedule a couple more during the coming days. InsideTheVille.com has the latest from the Florida Top 100 prospect.

After having success recruiting the Tallahassee, Florida area during recent years, the University of Louisville football staff appears to once again have it's eyes on another prospect from the talent-rich area.

Scout.com three-star cornerback Rudell Crim has battled injuries for nearly his entire senior campaign, but now fully healthy the 5-foot-11,190-pound prospect, who also excels on the offensive side of the ball, has noticed a climb in interest from schools. Illinois, Indiana, Louisville, Marshall, South Florida and West Virginia are among those currently expressing heavy interest.

"Most schools want me as a defensive player as either a corner or safety" said Crim. "I really love defense and I love to hit, but I like being on offense too. It doesn't really matter to me though, I just want to play and will do whatever the team needs me to do to help us win."

With senior season coming to an end, Crim is in the process of scheduling his official visits.

"I'm going to Illinois on December 9th," said Crim, who added that he's in the process of setting up additional trips, including one to Louisville. "I'm working on the rest of them right now."

Last week Crim listed a trio of Big East schools - Louisville, South Florida and West Virginia - as his current favorites.

"I'm looking at those three a lot, but I'm open to anybody right now really," said Crim.

With two of his favorites hooking up last week, Crim said he made sure to watch the Cardinals and Mountaineers match up last Thursday.

"That was a very exciting game," said Crim. "There was a lot of offense and I guess Louisville had the momentum and got the win. I enjoyed watching it because I was able to see what both of them have on defense and offense, and what I would be able to bring to them."

Crim is a member of the Florida Top 100 and was one of the top performers at the Scout.com All-American Combine held in Jacksonville earlier this year.
