The University of Louisville has received a verbal commitment from 6-foot-5, 200-pound wide receiver Chris Summers per a report in the Jacksonville (Fla.) Times-Union newspaper on Thursday.
Summers earned All-Conference honors following a senior season that saw him pull in 41 receptions for 663 yards and 8 touchdowns.
An All-State performer on the hardwood, Summers told the Times-Union that he'll attempt to play both sports at U of L.
"I went up there last weekend and had a great time," Summers said. "I've been liking Louisville since they saw me in spring practice, so I decided to go on and commit. [A Louisville] coach said I could try to do both sports, but that it's really hard to keep up with. But I'm going to give both a try at first."
Summers also considered fellow Big East Conference members Cincinnati and South Florida.
