Bush's announcement comes the same day Tulsa's Steve Kragthorpe is expected to be named the new Louisville coach, replacing Bobby Petrino, who left Sunday to take the head coach job with the Atlanta Falcons.
Bush missed nearly all of the 2006, suffering a season-ending leg injury in the first game at Kentucky. He led the nation in scoring as a junior.
