Ulinski taking his time

DuPont Manual offensive lineman Dave Ulinski will enter his senior season with scholarship offers from the two major in-state programs and with a desire to earn a few more. InsideTheVille.com has the latest on the Scout.com three-star prospect.

Rated a Scout.com Midwest Top 100 prospect, DuPont Manual offensive lineman Dave Ulinski is preparing for his senior season with something to prove. While the 6-foot-6, 290-pounder currently holds scholarship offers from both major in-state programs, he is hoping to attract more during the upcoming season.

"It's still the same," Ulinski said of his current list of offers. "I've talked to other coaches that have said that they want to come see me play this year, so I'm hoping to get a few more offers during the season."

Ulinski, who's grandfather earned All-American honors as a gridiron star at Kentucky, grew up a fan of the Wildcats. The strong family ties to the Lexington school has many believing that he's lock for UK, but Ulinski says that's not the case.

"Some might see it that way because I'm a fan," Ulinski explained. "I think that since I haven't committed yet that they can tell that that I'm trying to find the best place for me. Right now I don‘t know where that will be."

With more scholarship offers sure to come this fall, Ulinski is no rush to make his college pick.

"I'm still pretty wide open," the Scout.com three-star prospect said. "Of course UK and U of L are at the top because they have offered, but I haven't ruled anyone out at this point."

After making a few unofficial visits to both Louisville and Kentucky during the spring, Ulinski has spent his summer focused on his team's August 24 season-opener at Louisville Central.

"I haven't visited anyone this summer because we've been so busy getting ready for the season, but I do plan on going to some games and making some visits," Ulinski said.

Ulinski is ranked as the nation's no. 37 offensive tackle by Scout.com
