Terrell Combs, a 6'3, 250-pound athlete from Lexington (KY) Bryan Station, committed to Minnesota in November. But as national signing day approaches, it appears the talented Combs might be leaning towards staying closer to home for college.

"I'm still planning to visit Louisville – I think I'm going on January 25," Combs said. "I don't talk to Louisville all the time but coach (Greg) Nord calls me and stuff. I talked to him last week. He just told me that they want me to come there."

Combs, a multi-position standout for Lexington Bryan Station, has already taken his official visit to Minnesota. He verbally committed to the Golden Gophers in November but that commitment now appears on shaky ground. Where do things stand with his commitment to Minnesota?

"I don't know," Combs said. "I'm unsure what I'll do and I probably won't know where I'll sign until February."

Combs says he's only considering Louisville as an alternate destination to Minnesota and apparently distance from home will play a large role in the two-star prospects final decision.

"I'm trying to be close to my mom and not that far away from home," Combs said. "That's a pretty big factor for me and my mom."
