Louisville recently missed on Stockbridge (GA) quarterback Tyler Bass, who committed to Maryland. But the Cardinals still could land Bass' talented teammate, 6'3, 290-pound defense tackle Randy Salmon, who will make an official visit to Louisville this weekend.

"I'm going up to Louisville tomorrow," Salmon told InsideTheVille.com Thursday night. "I have a visit scheduled to Michigan State next weekend, but if I commit to Louisville that would be my last visit."

How strong a possibility is a Salmon commit to Louisville this weekend?

"It's high," Salmon said. "They've been with me from the get-go and they've worked with me and helped me get my (academic) stuff together. They've shown me that I'm one of the top guys that they want."

Salmon received an in-home visit Wednesday night from Louisville assistant Tony Alford. "They came to my house last night – Coach (Tony) Alford," Salmon said. "It was a real good visit. He gave me my flight time and everything. He talked about me committing when he was here."
