Youboty down to two; decision coming soon

John Youboty, a three-star DE from Klein, TX, has made his visits and is almost ready to announce his decision. Two schools appear to be the final team's left standing for the 6'4, 245-pound Youboty. Where does Louisville stand with the athletic, pass-rusher?

John Youboty, a three-star DE from Klein, TX, has made his visits and is almost ready to announce his decision. Two schools – Louisville and Marshall – appear to be the final team's left standing for the 6'4, 245-pound Youboty.

"I think I'll probably have a decision by Friday," Youboty said. "I'm just considering Louisville and Marshall right now."

"He still hasn't made his decision," Youboty's coach, Stan Labay, said Tuesday afternoon. "He said he is going to make a decision, like this week. He's still kind of open and he hasn't made up his mind. I think he's talking with his family and trying to make a decision with what he wants to do."

Youboty says he'll announce Friday.

While Youboty visited Nebraska earlier in the recruiting process, the Cornhuskers don't appear much of a factor. Two weeks ago, Youboty visited Louisville and gave that trip an extremely high grade. Last week, he made his final trip to Marshall.

"My main factors are early playing and comfort level with the coaching staff," he said.

"I can't tell where he's leaning because I don't know how impressed he was with Marshall," Labay said. "I know he was impressed with Nebraska when he visited them. I know he was impressed with Louisville when he visited them. And I know he was impressed with Marshall as well, but I don't know what that means. I don't know if that means he's interested in any one (program) more than the other."

Youboty said Marshall coach Mark Snyder will make an in-home visit Wednesday night. He also said he's expecting to speak with Louisville assistant Ken Delgado about a possible visit from the Cardinals this week.

Here's what Youboty had to say about his two favorites - Louisville and Marshall:

Louisville: "I like the coaching staff and I felt comfortable with them on my visit. I also like that they are one of the top schools in their conference and if they beat West Virginia and Rutgers they will most likely play in the BCS."

Marshall: "I like Coach Snyder and I feel that I could go there and play right away."

Yoboty has big-time athleticism and made nine sacks this season.

"John is a good athlete. He tested out at combines very well," Labay said. "He's got good size and speed and good quickness. He's a rangy kid. He's got some athleticism about him and that's what makes him such as good prospect. He can run and he's got good size, too. I think most college coaches think he's an edge rusher."
