Buckles, Siva rise in rankings

Scout.com released its updated Class of 2009 Top 100 rankings Tuesday and Louisville commitments Rakeem Buckles and Peyton Siva both moved up. The 6-8 Buckles now checks in a No. 26, while the 5-11 Siva is ranked No. 35.

Rakeem Buckles’s strong play on the AAU circuit this spring helped the athletic Louisville commitment rise to near Top 25 status on Scout.com’s 2009 just released Top 100 list. Buckles, the No. 8 PF in the class, is the highest ranked of Louisville’s three 2009 commitments.

Peyton Siva, ranked the No. 6 PG in the class, moved up four slots to No. 35 overall. Siva committed to the Cardinals last week over Washington and Kansas.

Mike Marra, Louisville’s third commit, didn’t crack the Top 100.
