Big TN lineman wants to make early decision
Will Jackson from Farragut (TN) HS is moving forward with his plans to find his future school. While most players want to take their time and enjoy a long and well chronicled recruitment Jackson is ready to make his decision known sooner than later. The University of Louisville is a school that Jackson is highly interested in visiting and had plenty to say about his thoughts on the program. "The first thing I like about Louisville is that for about the last five years they have been a natural Big East power. They had a down year last year under Coach Kragthorpe , but I am sure this year they will turn it around and be back strong again next year," said Jackson. "I know he revamped his defensive coaching staff and I expect better things from them this year. I know they have great facilities and a lot of support up there so I am really looking forward to learning more about Louisville." Jackson has received plenty of interest from several BCS schools and all have extended offers. Right now I have offers from Marshall, West Virginia, Kentucky, Louisville, Wake Forest, North Carolina State, Middle Tennessee State, Vanderbilt, Georgia Tech, Mississippi, and Stanford. I have a total of 13 offers," said Jackson. " I am really still pretty much wide open, but I do like Georgia Tech, Wake Forest, and Ole Miss because I have visited those schools. But I am definitely interested in visiting Kentucky Louisville and West Virginia to see what those schools have to offer," Jackson continued. "I am looking at my schedule with my workouts, camps, to get that worked out. But that is a priority is to get up there to visit Louisville and see what they have to offer." Will says that while he wants to make sure he takes a look at all his options he does not really want to push back his decision. "I have some things that I like in the three schools that I have visited, but I want to give everyone a fair shot," said Jackson. "But I really do want to look to make a decision here within the next month so I am making plans right now. If I had to push back my decision I would, but I really want to make a decision here in the next month." And with his focus narrowed down to pretty much six schools the factors that play a role in his commitment will be a key to securing the talented offensive lineman. "My main thing is my comfort level with the school. I want to be able to step on campus and feel like I am at home. I want to be really comfortable with the coaches and the players and people there," said Jackson. "Also the tradition of the program. I don't want to go to a school where I am losing games. I am pretty accustomed to winning games in high school and I want to go to a team where I can win championships." And when asked what makes him such a hot commodity by college coaches Jackson says the it is simply heart and hustle. "The biggest part of my game is my effort. I have a high motor and give 110% every play. I am trying to knockdown one or two players to get to the second level, and clear a path for the running back. I am big, strong, and have quick feet," said Jackson. "And this summer overall I just want to get bigger, stronger, and faster. I just want to be a better football player overall." The three-star lineman also mentioned that he would be attending camp at Auburn University.
