Privott wavering on Louisville commitment
"I'm still committed but I'm going to take some other visits," Privott said. "I'm going to visit West Virginia and Tennessee if possible. I'm also going to try to get down to Clemson. I thought about it and I may have committed to Louisville too early. I'm going to take some other visits and see if Louisville is the right place for me. Right now I'm still committed but I'm going to take other visits and see how things go." With Privott watching the game on television, Louisville opened the season with a lopsided home loss to rival Kentucky, 27-2. That showing, admitted Privott, played into his decision to explore other college options. "The offense didn't live up to par like I personally like but the defense played great," said Privott. "That game did kind of take me back a little bit. The game did play a part in my decision to take some other visits." This week, Privott said he's talked with the coaches at both West Virginia and Tennessee about making visits to both schools campuses. He also talked with Louisville defensive coordinator Ron English Wednesday night about having second thoughts about his commitment. "I talked to Ron English last night for a good 30 minutes and he was honest with me and told me what I needed to know," said Privott. "Everything is still together as of right now. I felt like I rushed my decision a little and he sort of made me feel a little better about it. But I still want to take other visits." Privott termed his commitment to Louisville as a ‘soft' one. "Hopefully it will all work out for the best," said Privott.
