Reports about Smith's commitment premature?

There's been some confusion about the recruitment of 2010 South Kent (CT) point guard Russell Smith. In the past few days, reports surfaced on the Internet that Smith had committed to Louisville. InsideTheVille.com spoke with South Kent head coach Kelvin Jefferson Monday morning to set the record straight.

InsideTheVille.com reported last week that Russell Smith would make an official visit to Louisville Nov. 15-16 and hoped the Cardinals would make him an offer during that visit. Since that report was published, there have been various Internet reports indicating that Louisville had offered a scholarship and Smith had already given the Cardinals a commitment.
