Clark was named to the FWAA Freshman All-American team on Friday.
One of the highlights for the Cardinals 2002 football season was emergence of redshirt freshman Broderick Clark as one of the nations most dangerous kick return specialists.
Clark was named to the FWAA Freshman All-American team on Friday.
With an average of 28.9 yards per kick return, Clark finished the 2002 campaign ranked 2nd in the NCAA. He amassed 897 yards on 31 returns, including two returned for touchdowns.
Clark grabbed the attention of Cardinal fans in the season opener when he returned the second half kick off by Kentucky 100-yards for a score. He also returned a kick for a 92-yard touchdown against Conference USA rival Cincinnati.
The Sporting News also named Clark to its Freshmen All-American 1st Team.
Clark who was the only member of a C-USA program to be named to the FWAA Freshman All-American team.
