Help make the Bears rush defense one of the best in the league. Made Pro Bowl in first year with Chicago. Had 50 tackles and 1.5 sacks. Joined Bears as an unrestricted free agent (4/10/01) after spending the previous six years of his 10-year NFL career in Buffalo. One of the premier defensive linemen in the NFL. A four-time Pro Bowl selection (’97, ’98 & ’00) and perhaps the best run-stopping DL in the game. Key member of Bills defense that finished first overall in the NFL in 1999. Has started in all 16 games in five straight campaigns. Begins 2002 with a streak of 99 straight starts. Started 95 of 96 games played with the Bills. Began career with three-year stint in San Francisco before trade to Denver (4/20/94). Signed with Buffalo as an unrestricted free agent (2/25/95).
College
Finished his senior season at Louisville with 76 tackles, seven sacks and three blocked field goals and was an All-South Independent selection. Closed career with Fiesta Bowl win over Alabama. Played in the Senior and Japan Bowls. Named all-Metro Conference as a sophomore. Majored in Physical Education. |
